Orthopedic and Traumatologist

Dr. Raffaele Garofalo is an expert in Orthopedics and Traumatology.

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1996, he specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology in 2002 at the Aldo Moro University of Bari.

Orthopedic training took place in the University Hospital of Lausanne (Switzerland) in the years 2002-2005 and later at the IRCCS Humanitas Clinical Institute in Milan in the Unit directed by prof. In Castagna in order to learn the treatment of shoulder diseases.

He mainly deals with sports traumatology and surgical treatment of pathologies affecting the shoulder such as rotator cuff injuries, osteoarthritis and instability pathology.

He also has extensive experience in traumatological surgery of the upper limb, in carrying out revision operations on shoulder prostheses and in the use of PRP and stem cells in the treatment of rotator cuff injury.

He is currently Aggregate at the Villa Stuart Clinic in Rome and Director of the UOSD of Upper Limb Surgery at the F. Miulli Hospital in Acquaviva delle Fonti (Bari).

This unit has a partnership with the Baylor University of Dallas Shoulder Surgery Center headed by Prof. SG Krishnan.
Dr. Garofalo is also a Consultant at the Shoulder Surgery Center of the Humanitas Institute in Milan and works as a freelancer at the Turkish Study of Bari, the Center Bios of Barletta and the Gialluisi Study of Corato.
